ADMIT YOUR CHILD INTO A MAINSTREAM SCHOOL IN SINGAPORE VIA AEIS OR S-AEIS.

International students currently not studying in mainstream schools and who wish to seek admission to Primary 2-4 and Secondary 1-3 are eligible to take part in the AEIS (Admission Exercise for International Students) or S-AEIS (Supplementary Exercise for International Students).

The tests seek to ensure that international students who are admitted to the mainstream schools are able to cope with the requirements of the Singapore education and curriculum.

WHAT IS S-AEIS?

S-AEIS stands for Supplementary Admissions Exercise for International Students who are unable to make it for AEIS(Admissions Exercise for International Students) in September or October.

International students currently not studying in mainstream schools and who wish to seek admission to Primary 2-4 and Secondary 1-2 are eligible to take part in the S-AEIS.

The S-AEIS test seeks to ensure that international students who are admitted to the mainstream schools are able to cope with the requirements of the Singapore education and curriculum.

The S-AEIS centralised test for each level will comprise English and Mathematics .

It will assess the applicant’s’ English literacy, numeracy and reasoning ability.

S-AEIS applicants who are successful should prepare themselves in advance for a new school environment.

Do note that English is the language of instruction.

Students are advised to familiarise themselves with the relevant curriculum for their level.

Due to the short preparation time to national examination, there are no admissions to Primary 5 and Secondary 3 levels under the S-AEIS.

HOW IS S-AEIS DIFFERENT FROM AEIS?

It is similar to AEIS (Admissions Exercise for International Students). The only difference is the timing in which the admissions exercise is held. Students who have not been successful in the previous year’s AEIS can also take the S-AEIS in the following year.
